Few days back Ronaldo removed Coca-Cola bottle from the table before starting a press conference. He said "Aqua! No coke". This got viral in media and media started giving long analysis.
Within few hours Coca-Cola stock price went down and faced $4 billion loss.
Many people started suggesting to put petrol and Groundnut oil bottle on Ronaldo's table, thinking if he rejects, petrol/groundnut oil price may go down. In fact, even if Ronaldo rejects petrol/groundnut oil bottle, will price slash down all over the world including India??
This lead a lot of questions in my mind.
How seriously we should take such action?? Why media is creating storm?
Well, As per one report, Ronaldo doesn't prefer any soda. However it is important to note that Ronaldo had appeared in a Coke advert in the early 2000s. In addition, since decade, Ronaldo is playing football match which are sponsored by Coca-Cola.
Well, Ronaldo didn't said that Coca-Cola is unhealthy. Did
he really refused Coca-Cola on health ground? One may refuse a cold
drink, if he already had few minutes back.
Well, is Ronaldo health expert? In Last few years, Ronaldo had shared some football tips, nothing got viral. Many doctors & health experts are refusing all cold drinks including Coca-Cola since years, but that doesn't create much impact. But, when Ronaldo refused a Coca-Cola without uttering a word, it got viral!!
After doing Thumsup ad for years and earning crores, if now Akshay kumar rejects Thumsup, should we take it seriously?I am not saying cold drinks are healthy. But should we listen to experts or celebrity? Should we listen news or news analysis?
